How do you get over love?
When you fall madly, deeply, truly in
love. Where all you want to do is be around that person, to please
that person, to smell that person, to touch that person, to have that
person. He's in your thoughts all the time, you imagine how things
would be, you imagine a life.
Everybody tells you it's wrong, that
it's not for you, you need more, should be more.
So, in your own mind you think the
same, you really do think it and believe it, because looking at it
all it's true you do deserve more, you want more for yourself.
So it ends, this crazy roller-coaster
finishes all the love, all the feelings, all ends for you. For you to
become more.
But it's so sudden. Going from having
everything from that person, to absolutely nothing.
You find ways to comfort yourself. You
go out, drink a lot until you can't remember getting home or who you
went home with. You find something else to occupy yourself, through
yourself into work, into your future, or even into somebody else.
Somebody else you think is everything. Makes you take your mind off
of everything else that's going on. You believe you're happy and
things are going the right way.
They are, but not as they intend. Life
is like a flower, it grows but never straight, it grows whichever way
it feels right for it at that time. You come to realize that not
everything is as it seems, you're own mind makes things up, to cover
up, to make things seem better, to heal the bad and hurts. Then
things come out and you realize what your mind has been doing, saving
you from falling and then nothing is quite as bad. Yeah, it hurts at
first to realize that the perfection after the perfection, that the
arms that have held you aren't really there to hold you.
You actually come to realize those arms
that were there “holding” you, were actually supporting you.
Helping you move forward, holding you until you are ready to hold
yourself.
This is how you get over love, you find
support, you find love in other forms, you find yourself and yourself
takes you to where you are meant to be.
