Fight and Flight

Unknown to all is the outcome. The outcome of everything and anything. Even if you know, you never really know.
Though they say don't be afraid of the unknown, how is it possible not to be? If something has happened in your life and something similar is now happening you start to expect the same outcome. Now this may be silly, as nothing is ever exactly the same, nobody is the same, nowhere is the same. But we become afraid. Afraid of the consequences. Afraid of the outcome. Afraid of being hurt.
The natural, built in instinct of animals is fight or flight.
We can choose whether we fight against our fears and go for what we want, or we can choose the flight option and run. Run far and keep running forever.
Choosing the second option in the short term will work, everything will just keep happening until that something we are running from starts to happen again and we need to run again. We might lose something that could be incredible, amazing, perfection for our lives.
Choosing to fight is usually the better option, though again we risk it all. We risk pain. We risk losing what we already have. But we also might gain something, something worth so much more.
What would you choose if you could? To keep changing your life whilst getting into patterns of running or to stand and fight and be hurt yet living the life that you want to try and live?
